Am I Doing The Right Thing?

right thing

It is inevitable for God’s creations to want to please Him. It’s only natural to do so. We always aim to please God and make Him happy through our actions, words and thinking. We want to make sure that He is glorified in all ways possible.

We try in the flesh to do things that will please the Lord. We use relationships, we use works, we try to please Him the easy way. We may do good things, yet if they are not what is on God’s heart, we are not acting in obedience. In fact, what we may perceive as good may well be evil in God’s eyes. How are we to know whether it is in His will for an individual to face a difficulty on his own for a time? How are we to tell whether a problem is really God’s discipline? Many times we don’t know...

Planted by God

planted by god Plants however are not that easy to take care of contrary to popular belief. They need attention, caring and watering. If the plant is cared for properly, then it will grow to be a beautiful one that might even bear fruits or flowers.

Every Christian is to be “a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord.” It is usually not difficult to accept that we are trees of righteousness; we have heard teachings on this, and the concept of righteousness itself is inherent to Christianity. But the idea of being “the planting of the Lord” often seems to be difficult to grasp. Yet is, in reality, very simple: The Lord is the One who plants us, who sets us in place in that particular body where we can best grow and be a blessing...

Where is Heaven?

where there is heaven

Often we hear about being promised heaven when we believe and trust in God’s unfailing love But there are times when we ignorant about what heaven truly is. Everyone has their own interpretation of heaven. People think it’s paradise here on earth, others believe that it is literally out in space, like it’s some sort of location or venue. The power of prophecy will help you understand what heaven truly is.

The Bible says Jesus lifted up his eyes. He lifted up His eyes from the realm in which He was standing, to the realm in which He needed to see supply. It was not a physical lifting up of the eye, as much as it was a spiritual lifting of seeing from one realm into the next. Heaven is not up in a physical direction. If it were, then you should be able to take a rocket and get there...

Re-focusing Yourself

Re-focusing Yourself

Although you may have committed your life to Christ and fully devoted yourself to Him, how have your actions been? What have you been doing with your life? What have you sought first in life? Has it been the King or has it been something else? We become distracted with worldly things that we often forget about seeking the kingdom of God first.

Psalm 119:130 says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light. It giveth understanding unto the simple.” There are many people who have lost the power of understanding because they have become dull in hearing. When you lose your ability to hear and to understand, you don’t know what to do with wisdom...

Prophecy and Authority

When we receive the prophetic word, it is revealed to us who the authority of our lives is. And once we get to recognize this authority, we are given the right and the power to practice authority over others.

The Kingdom of God functions on the principles of submission and authority. This man understood that, and he knew the authority of Jesus’ word. He did not doubt that authority; and that faith was turned into a faith for the healing of the servant. The Lord desires that we be the centurions of this age. Learning how to function under authority is vital if we are to be given authority; it is vital even if we never come into that place of leadership. If we cannot function under authority, we cannot function in the Kingdom of God...

Difficulties Obeying

Early in our Christians lives we immediately learn about obedience. Even kids in Sunday School are already taught about obedience to God at such a young age. Yet it’s easier said and taught than done.

“Jesus in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a son, yet learned the obedience by the things which he suffered … “Hebrews 5:7

This passage is speaking of Jesus, our High Priest. We see that, although He was a Son, He learned His obedience through the things that He suffered. Sometimes that is hard for us to believe; but we learn our obedience in the same way: through our sufferings...

Authority Over the Enemy

authority over enemy

When you started your life as a Christian, you were told that you have authority over the enemy. You do not have to let the enemies control or tempt you because you already have the authority of God in your life. This is very true, but not all of us understand what it means to truly have authority and how to prevent the enemy from fooling us.

When we have the authority of God in our lives, when we are submissive to authority, then we shall be people of authority when we stand in the presence of  the enemy and say,”Halt!” But if we’re not under authority, Satan won’t obey us. We must be under authority to have authority. Think about it. If an authority figure in your life stepped out of line or made some inappropriate remarks, would you still respond to that authority? Probably not...

Authority and Love

authority of God

We all know that God has authority over us. But He has also assigned us to have authority over certain people and communities. If you were born to lead or if you are already a leader, then you must know that God has given you authority for a reason. It is part of His spiritual protocol.

God has called us to be subject to one another in love (I Pet. 5:5). This is an attitude of the heart; actions alone do not constitute submission. We may be performing all the right deeds; but if our heart is rebellious or if we think bitter thoughts toward one whom we are serving, how can we say we are truly submitted? God looks at our hearts, not merely our deeds. While pure deeds flow from a pure heart, they alone do not constitute purity before God and man...
